Social Media and Mental Health
Hello, everyone!
How are you? I hope you are in a good situation when you read this blog.
As you guys can see in the headline, I want to explain my opinion about one of the impacts of social media that is from the mental health side. Hope you guys enjoy it!
Nowadays, social media is something that impossible if there is no one internet users don't have it. The social media are Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, etc. With social media, we can see someone's life from it easily.
In addition to the convenience provided, of course, there are drawbacks to using it. Of course, there are so many negative impacts such as cybercrime, the existence of harmful hoaxes, defamation that is easier to do, and many more which of course do not escape, namely impacting the mental health of users.
We can see and hear everything from what the owner of social media posted. Sometimes, their posts get lots of comments. In some situations, they get comments that lead to hate speeches or comments that seem to corner the owner of social media. Of course, it can be impacted to someone's mental health as we know people have a different standard on endurance to fight something and we can't make it the same.
When someone has good mental health endurance it can be easier to deal with it. It is different when someone doesn't have good mental health endurance, it can be harder for them to deal with it. In some situations, it can make someone feel stressed, and depressed, which at the highest point can lead to suicide because it is no longer able to deal with those the bad comments received from social media.
Not only that, sometimes we only judge someone from what we see on social media even though it's not like that because social media is only a small part of someone's real life.
As a smart and wise social media user, we must use it nicely and in its place. Because, at first social media is made for humans, to make human's life easy not to make human's life badly.
As a nice and wise user, we must make social media something to make our potential better than before.
I hope this blog opens readers' minds even more about the importance of being a wise social media user so that things that harm others. If you guys have questions or a critic about this blog please comment below.

DeleteYeaah !! I agree with you nia. We can't judge people by seeing their sosial media, because social media isn't the whole life they have. For example if someone post their journey going to Bali, in other side of the world while you see this post you think, "Woah, what a beautiful life you have, not like I have" Then people start to comparing their live with others. Its not good for two side, first for the one who posted it and two for the one who see the post. Because of that its important to be wise in social media.
ReplyDeleteHahaha I didn't realize it was a long comment. Keep writing niaa!! Can't wait to see another topic. 😉
