How to make studying at home to be effective.

How are you guys? hope we will always in a good situation.
As we know, it is almost a year we're at home and reduced outdoor activities cause of the covid-19 pandemic that hits almost all of the countries in this world. Of course, it will never prohibit us to study and learn. Because of that, the government has decided that the teaching and learning process is doing at home. That called online-learning or in Indonesia, it's called 'daring'.
However, online-learning is often considered ineffective because not all of the knowledge taught can be captured and absorbed properly by every individual. Because of that, I, who am one of the students who feel online-learning, will share tips on how to study effectively even though studying online, so that the knowledge taught can be well absorbed.
Keep in mind that these are tips from me that I applied myself, not forcing my friends to follow it, but if you think this will work, you can try it and don't forget to share to your friends.
- Understand suitable learning methods
Everyone has different learning methods. Each person will capture and absorb the lesson in different ways, some can capture lessons well using soft-files, some must record the theory, some who only hear the explanation already understand, and many more.
By understanding and knowing the learning method that is suitable for us, then apply it. For example, if you can understand something by taking notes, then write it down. If you can understand it through explanations, then look for explanations about the theory on social media such as YouTube. That way, even though learning from home, the knowledge learned can be well absorbed
2. Don't be lazy and don't delaying anything
Most students nowadays often feel lazy to study and of course, delay learning because they feel lazy to move or are stuck in their slang. It cannot be denied, when studying at home we are very close to the item that is said to have the strongest gravity on earth, namely 'a bed'. So that we will continue to be lazy because we feel that we can relax at home even though there are so many tasks.
Do something while you can so that when you finish it, you have more free time which you can use for refreshing yourself such as playing games, watching, and so on.
3. Don't use study time to play
Studying at home doesn't mean we can just use our time to relax. I always apply this so that my time is not wasted and my study hours are sufficient and effective. Of course, we already have our study schedule. For example, myself on Monday I entered the first class at 7.30-10.00 even though I was only given a lot of assignments and time left, I would still use that time to study and not mix it up with other things. That way, we will learn time discipline and make the best use of time.
4. Review the material once a week or every day
I do this method so that I don't forget the material that was given before. I review this material once a week at the end of the week but if you have more time, you can do this every day after all the learning process is complete. That way, we will not easily forget the lessons that have been taught previously. It can also be useful when we have tests or exams. Since we have reviewed our lessons regularly, we don't need to study too hard for it. When an exam or test will come, we only need to read it briefly, just to open the memory again.
5. Do personal refreshing so that mental health is maintained and you don't get bored easily
Studying in school alone can make us bored, let alone learning from home. Many people feel bored, including me. Not only that, many reports say some children end their lives allegedly because of learning exhaustion and so on. And several surveys have also proven that children's mental health is very concerning when the learning process from home is carried out. Therefore we must prevent it from happening to us.
Personal refreshing every week or it can be done every day with not excessive time such as going for a walk to tourist attractions (but still paying attention to health protocols to stay healthy), exercising outside the home, playing games, watching, and so on.
But keep in mind, this is only so that we don't feel bored and it is done with sufficient time, aka not excessive. Because if it's too much, it will also disturb us in the learning process.
Do. something enough, because do something exaggerated is not pretty good too.
